Mar 23, 2011 by

Tyler Junior College Director of Alumni Affairs Betty Briggs brought home a top award from the annual Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Southwest District IV conference in New Orleans in February.

TJC’s entry, “Large Alumni Program on a Small Budget,” earned first place in the category of Best Low-Cost Alumni Program in the CASE District IV Awards, which included entries from four-year as well as two-year institutions.

“It was an honor to have Tyler Junior College listed among the winners that included Oklahoma State University, Baylor, Texas A&M University, UT Austin and other four-year universities,” Briggs said. “We were one of only a handful of two-year colleges who won an award.”

TJC’s marketing and public affairs department earned honorable mention in the CASE Awards website animation category for the College’s recently redesigned homepage, www.tjc.edu.
