School named changed to reflect realignment

Oct 24, 2010 by

The College has recently changed the names of several of its schools of study. The name changes were determined by Provost Dr. Homer “Butch” Hayes after meetings with faculty. Hayes said the realignment will create more equitable supervisory responsibilities at the deans’ levels while reflecting the latest trends in higher education.

The School of University Studies is now the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Allied Health and Nursing is now the School of Nursing and Health Professions; College Preparatory Studies is now the School of Academic Foundations; and  Applied Studies is now the School of Professional and Technical Programs. The School of Continuing Studies remains unchanged.
